Drop your STEP files and download them as USDZ: free, in batch, and they never leave your device.
STEP is the standard exchange format between CAD programs (ISO 10303): it describes exact surfaces, not triangles. It's used mostly in mechanical design and engineering (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, FreeCAD, Inventor, CATIA), parts for manufacturing and suppliers, and it stores B-rep solids with exact surfaces (planes, cylinders, NURBS), assemblies, part names and colors. USDZ, on the other hand, is Apple's augmented-reality format, based on Pixar's Universal Scene Description — the format expected by AR on iPhone/iPad (Quick Look), product pages with view-in-your-space, iOS/visionOS.
This tool converts your STEP files to USDZ right in the browser: no queue, no artificial size limit and, above all, your file is never uploaded to any server. Geometry is preserved with the exact coordinates and scale of the original — important if the model is going to be printed or measured.
Keep in mind: The CAD's exact surfaces become triangles: curves get faceted at a printing precision (0.08% of the part's size). If you need to keep that data, convert to a format that supports it (GLB keeps materials and textures; PLY keeps vertex colors).
