Convert FBX to USDZ

Drop your FBX files and download them as USDZ — free, in batch, and they never leave your device.

FBX → USDZ: what you should know

FBX to USDZ connects the industry standard format — what comes out of Maya, 3ds Max, Blender or Mixamo — with Apple's augmented reality, without touching any desktop software.

It's the fast route to reviewing an asset on your phone: load the FBX, download the USDZ, AirDrop it to yourself, and you're looking at it at real scale in the room.

The conversion runs in the browser. An FBX can weigh hundreds of megabytes and still never leaves your machine.

Frequently asked questions

Do animations and rigs convert?

No. The USDZ comes out in a static pose: skeleton, skinning and animation clips are lost. If your FBX came from Mixamo, the character arrives still, in its bind pose.

What about textures?

It depends on how the FBX was exported. An embedded FBX (textures inside) brings them along. One referencing external images in folders produces a USDZ without them.

Why does the model appear giant in AR?

FBX files are usually exported in centimetres and carry scales inherited from the original scene. The conversion applies the standard factor; if it lands out of scale, adjust it with the transform tool before converting.
