The texture is capped at 2048 px on the longest side and embedded as JPEG — the balance between gallery-distance sharpness and a fast-loading file (2–4 MB typical). More than enough for full-screen close-ups.
That's not the goal: the model is in meters and the image is a texture (printers don't print textures). For printable photo reliefs use the lithophane or image-to-STL tools.
