Do SketchUp DAE files work?
Yes, that's one of the most common cases. Keep in mind SketchUp models often come in inches or feet: if the AR size looks wrong, rescale first with the transform tool.
Are textures preserved?
DAE references its images by path, so external textures aren't packaged. Geometry and UV coordinates do come across intact.
What about COLLADA animations?
They don't travel: the USDZ comes out static. Animated AR on iOS requires Apple's Reality Converter.
