Drop your IGES files and download them as OBJ: free, in batch, and they never leave your device.
IGES is the oldest CAD exchange format (ANSI, 1980), still common with industrial machines and suppliers. It's used mostly in exchange with older CAD/CAM software, tooling, CNC machining and supplier drawings, and it stores exact surfaces and curves (planes, NURBS, trimmed surfaces), without STEP's solid structure. OBJ, on the other hand, is a veteran, universal text format supported by practically every 3D application — the format expected by interchange between 3D apps (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max), texturing, rendering.
This tool converts your IGES files to OBJ right in the browser: no queue, no artificial size limit and, above all, your file is never uploaded to any server. Geometry is preserved with the exact coordinates and scale of the original — important if the model is going to be printed or measured.
Keep in mind: The CAD's exact surfaces become triangles: curves get faceted at a printing precision (0.08% of the part's size). If you need to keep that data, convert to a format that supports it (GLB keeps materials and textures; PLY keeps vertex colors).
